ABOUT REIS PEARSON

Over the course of his career, Reis has conducted thousands of residential inspections across King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties; directed the full-cycle development of panelized housing systems at MOMO Homes, where he led a cross-functional team integrating architecture, engineering, manufacturing, and onsite execution; managed capital improvement and energy efficiency programs for affordable housing portfolios at Homestead Community Land Trust; and designed residential solar PV systems with a focus on code compliance and client advocacy. He has navigated building code requirements across multiple jurisdictions — including Washington State, the IECC, and California Fire Code — and is currently pursuing ICC B1 and B3 commercial and residential building certifications through the International Code Council.

Reis holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Iowa State University and a BA from Washington State University. That academic background shapes the way he works with clients — communication, clarity, and genuine knowledge transfer are as central to his consulting practice as technical rigor. Whether presenting a plan review finding to an architect, walking a contractor through a QC deficiency, or representing an owner's interests in a contractor meeting, Reis brings the same commitment to making complex information accessible and actionable.

A lifelong Pacific Northwesterner, Reis grew up in Maple Valley and has called West Seattle home since 2001. Outside of work, he is an active volunteer with ShelterBox USA — an international disaster relief organization — serving as both a Response Team Member and Ambassador, supporting emergency shelter deployments to communities affected by disasters worldwide. He is an Associate Member of the Association of Energy Engineers and a former President of the Northwest Home & Building Inspectors Association.
